Call Me Crafty Al has a YouTube channel that encourages using entire sheets of paper to create multiple cards. There are even instructions and measurements that you can download!
I am always looking for masculine card ideas, and this layout was perfect. Paper Pumpkin sentiment, ancient DCWV The Guy Stack paper, stash die cuts. I made 9 cards from 3 12 x 12 sheets.

Just Us Girls (JUGS) has a fun color challenge this week.
I used a Spellbinders die cut 4x into DCWV adhesive paper and an InLoveArts sentiment die. I used every scrap and am so happy with the results!! Here is the original JUGS inspiration:

Try Stampin' on Tuesday - or Saturday :)
I absolutely love the meerkat set from Stampin' Up. Their sweet little faces make me smile! I colored them in with watercolor pencils, an ancient Megan Elizabeth sentiment, and DCWV Safari Chic paper.
I based the layout on the Try Stampin' On Tuesday's sketch:

Pinterest Inspired
The Paper Girl have a Pinterest inspired challenge:
Don't you love the geometric shapes and jewel tones?!?
Here is my first attempt:
Meh. I liked the concept, but it seems that the background, but something was missing. And I think that the dark grey base and layer didn't work quite right. I tried again, and was much happier:
I trimmed the Spellbinder cover up die a little smaller, and layered it onto a navy card base. I also layered the Sizzix round sentiment onto just navy. I used DCWV adhesive paper for all of the colors to make adding the dots cleaner.

Christmas All Year 'Round
I am trying to make a few Christmas cards every week this year. I hated that I sent some store bought cards last year.
Love this Winter Wonder paper paired with the Lawn Fawn die cut and accented with three clear jewels. Sharing this with Jingle Belles: Text Me and the Try Stampin' On Tuesday sketch challenge with the optional metal theme.

Halloween!
Tuesday Morning Sketches had a fun challenge this week:
Here is my take:
I added layers to the elements to make them pop a bit. The chevron paper is from a DCWV fall paper pad, the stamps are unknown - maybe really old SU!? I love my MISTI, I had to stamp the images a few times to fill in the solid areas, and the images are still crisp. I am also sharing this with Darnell's NMBUS (Never Before Used Schutff) challenge because these secondhand stamps have never been used by me! Come play along with us at Words 2 Craft By for our Logic vs. imagination challenge!

I love this layout for patterned paper.
Old DCWV paper, Lawn Fawn hugs die cut, silk seam binding for the ribbon. Sharing this with The Card Concept Pastel Party challenge. I took my inspiration from the pretty shades of blue and green.

Jingle Belles Joy
The Jingle Belles Stick-y & Sweet challenge is to use a sticker. I have plenty, and needed this motivation to use them!
DCWV Magic Stack patterned paper, Printworks Joy sticker, stash ribbon. I tried to emboss the snowflake paper, but the silver peeled off the snowflakes. Lesson learned!!
The Words to Craft By challenge - Change is open through February 1. Come join us!

OWH Sketch Challenge 235
This week's challenge and my response:
DCWV Pocket Full of Posies paper, Spellbinders Floral Burst die. I think I should have a less busy paper under the flower elements. The neon blue is not part of the card, but the photo background. Again, FAIL!!! LOL!

National Scrapbooking Day REBEL!!!!
Yep. I am a rebel. Instead of scrapbooking, I made cards!! I hit up a sale this morning, and bought a bunch of 6x6 paper pads from between $1.35 and $2.69 each!!! Carta Bella, Echo Park, Paper Studio, all really good stuff.
So I went back to Katherine's 6x6 cutting formula to make some missing you cards.
Here are a few:
Cuttlebug die cut using DCWV adhesive paper, Carts Bella Giddy Up patterned paper, Fiskars Crocodile texture plate.

Words2ScrapBy May Challenge - Bloom When You Are Planted
Sybrina has come up with a great challenge for us this month - Bloom where you are planted. I interpreted this as we should do our best to be happy no matter what our circumstance.
I love these tiny Close To My Heart Woodland Sentiments, but they are so hard to photograph! It reads - "The happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery when on a detour." Operation Write Home Sketch #171. Flocked paper DCWV La Creme.

OWH MWTD - Mother's Day Cards
I usually love the OWH Mid Week Throw Down challenges. They direct us to make cards that are needed most, or nudge us to make cards for holidays coming up. I really struggled with this week's challenge - Mother's Day cards. I lost my own Mom a little over a year ago. I just couldn't make those cards last year. This year, it still hurts, but I can deal. Here is this week's card:
As usual, much better in person than in the photo. DCWV All Dressed Up stack, silk ribbon, My Favorite Things sentiment, Spellbinder dies, Ranger Ink, Glossy Accents in the center of each flower, Fiskars swirls texture plate.

OWH - Card - SEAHAWKS
I am really on the fence about this year's Super Bowl. As a lifetime Cleveland Browns fan, rooting for Denver goes against every fiber of my being. I love pulling for the underdog, and Seattle (nor any of the players) has ever even been to the Super Bowl. But then again, I would love to see Manning win another ring. Bottom line? I went with the team that I had paper to answer the challenge!!! Thus:
DCWV Teenage Dream paper, Fiskars sentiment. Check out the February Challenge over at Words 2 Scrap By - Colours of the World - the Olympic flag!!!

OWH Mid Week Throw Down - Cards 4 Kids
This week's challenge is to create a card for a kid. I think that cards for teenage boys are probably few and far between, so I made a few of these:
Papers from DCWV, Background layer embossed with a crocodile texture plate, tennis shoes are embedded glitter and wet embossing (passed the sweater test), sentiment form Fiskars, stash ribbon.
