Stamp of Approval Lovely Notes Part Deux

I have had so much fun playing with the goodies in my Stamp of Approval box, I had to post a second project today.  While I made a few things I loved, I also made some pretty trash (recycling)!!!
Paper Studio paper, Memento ink, Catherine Pooler sentiment and die, Krylon leafing pen.  Sharing this one with Cards in Envy - Heat Wave (summer or hot color challenge).  Be sure to check out the Words 2 Craft By Just Keep Swimming challenge!!!

Stamp of Approval Lovely Notes

I did something out of character this week.  I spent at lot of money (to me) on the Stamp of Approval box.  I love the dies, and I will use most of the stamps.  I had a lot of fun today playing with all of my new goodies.  I made this one for the Mod Squad Kraft challenge:
The banner and scalloped border dies, butterflies, and sentiment are all from the box.  I had so much fun with is box, I just might buy another!  Be sure to join us at Words 2 Craft By for our Just Keep Swimming Challenge!!

House of Cards July Challenge

This month's HOC is to create a card with a fruit/drink image and/or use these colors:
I worked very hard on and was so proud of this card - until I took a closer look...
Do you see it?  My plaid layer edge is not the same width as the base layer...  Grrrrr.  I know, we are our own worst critic, but I think I need to try again.  The plaid paper of from Lawn Fawn, the blue from DCWV Dots and Stripes.  Fiskars image and Unity sentiment stamped in VersaFine black and heat embossed in clear.  I love how that combo makes the stamping look soft, without making it look blurry.   Cupcake colored with Derwent watercolor pencils.  Come play along with our Words2CraftBy.blogspot.com Just Keep Swimming challenge!!!

Fun Fold Card

I love this card!!

I have a Paper Cut die that cut the scallop and the sentiment strip, and I scored the folds with my Scor-Buddy.  The sundae is heat embossed in black, and colored with Derwent watercolor and ink tense pencils.  LOVE!!!!  I am sharing this with the Color Throwdown #401 and with the Scor-Pal More Than One Score Challenge #28 Fun in the Summer Sun.   Come join us at Words2CraftBy.blogspot.com for our Just Keep Swimming challenge!

Mod Squad Distress Ink Birthday Birds

This week's challenge at The Mod Squad is Distress Ink Lifting.
I used a stencil as a mask, inked with Versamark, and heat embossed in clear.  I inked with a variety of Distress Inks, and polished with a baby wipe to remove the ink from the embossing and further blend the inks. The concept was a bit puzzling to me, and I hope that I figured out the intent.

Masculine Flowers

The Male Room Challenge is to create a masculine project featuring flowers.  Challenge accepted!!
I masked the frame with post it paper, then inked the frame and images with Forrest Moss ink.  Love this CAS sympathy card.  Come join us at Words 2 Craft By "Just Keep Swimming" challenge!!!

Just Keep Swimming with Words 2 Craft By!!

This month's W2CB challenge pays homage to this summer's hottest movie - Finding Dory.  I have not had the privilege of seeing it yet, I think I need to rent a kid!!

As always, any project (card, tag, scrapbook page, etc.) is welcome and we love to see your creative interpretations.  For this theme, think about offering words of encouragement, never giving up, keep on trying, or anything motivational.

Here is my project:
I paired an old SU! image and sentiment with some fun Doodlebug paper.  The fishbowl is highlighted with a glittery epoxy sticker, and the balloon with Glossy Accents.  I colored with Derwent Inktense pencils.  Come play along with us at Words2CraftBy.blogspot.com!!!

Addicted to Clean and Simple - Stripes

Over at Addicted to Clean and Simple, the code word is Stripes.
I love this color combo!!!  Washi tape and lots of yummy white (black!) space.

Mod Squad Lazy Days of Summer

The challenge at the Mod Squad is to feature something that makes me think of the lazy days of summer.  My neighbors planted wonderful bushes and flowers that attract lots of butterflies that I love watching.

Cheery Lynn die, Darice Scroll Flourish embossing folder.

Sweet Greetings!

I used this sketch and this inspiration image:

And came up with this card:
I thought the plaid paper looked a little like a picnic blanket, and I love the cherries brad!  Come join us on Wednesday at Words 2 Craft By for a new challenge!!

Male Room - Buttons

The Male Room challenge is to use buttons.  Thanks to my Mom, I have enough buttons to last three (or thirty) lifetimes.  I wanted to play with some non-traditional Christmas colors, and I am so happy with this result!!
SU! Loads of Love image and sentiment, DCWV Christmas paper from 2015, Operation Write Home sketch #45.  I mixed different watercolors until I came up with the right teal for the truck and added grey button hubcaps.  My siblings tell me our Dad had a truck this color in the 1950s.
