Use a Punch (an old one?)

This both Operation Write Home Mid Week Throw Down and Shopping Our Stash Challenge 112 are to use punches.  SOS added the caveat that it had to be my OLDEST punch.

Here is my card:

My oldest punch used on this card is the maple leaf.  It is probably 20 years old, one of the old spinner punches that has 8 different leaves.  I used Spellbinder dies for the square windows and the sentiment and matting.  I used an old Fiskars wavy blade for the edging, and stash dotted ribbon.  The sentiment is from TPC Studios, paper from DCWV Autumn Stack on a kraft card base.

OWH Mid Week Throw Down - Christmas in July

This week's challenge is to make a Christmas card.  OWH must ship all cards overseas by October 31, so we need to start early!

I made this Santa jacket card from an OWH tutorial found HERE.

I made an file to cut the buckle out of gold foil paper.  You can download it HERE.  The red is completely flocked, the brass brads from the office supply store, Recollections kraft and textured black papers, iridescent white from Coredinations, Cuttlebug swirl embossing, scalloped die from Above Rubies Studio, grosgrain ribbon for the belt.

This was a hard one!!  Here is my interpretation:

I hoard these LaCreme papers, even the tiniest scraps.  I know, it is against the scrap wrangler rules, guilty as charged!

OWH Mid Week Throw Down - Red, White Blue, and Kraft

This week's challenge from Operation Write Home is to make a card using red, white, blue, and kraft. They chose a great card from Cissy Murphy.  I loved her card, and had already pinned it to CASE later!!

I saw a card like this on Pintrest, but when I made it, I didn't feel that it lived up to my expectations for an OWH card.  So, it will be an Any Hero card, and I will add an encouraging message to the inside.

I loved a card made by Sabrina at Scrapping with Purpose so much that I made one just like it:

Bo Bunny Liberty paper.  Thanks for the inspiration, Sabrina!!

These cards are also for the Shopping Our Stash Red White and Blue challenge.
