Super Clean and Simple

I struggle with CAS cards.  The more going on, the easier it is to hide flaws 😉!   This is a rare one-layer card for me.
I love how this came out, despite the pretty trash that I generated making it.  SU! Delicate Doilies, Sentiment from The Ton.  Love the Oxide inks on the creamy background.  I was ready to publish this post, and realized that the doily needed a tiny pearl at the center.  The smallest details (or flaws!) can make all the difference in a project.  Sharing this with Fall to Layout Take Two #53 sketch challenge:

Christmas All Year 'Round

I am trying to make a few Christmas cards every week this year.  I hated that I sent some store bought cards last year.
Love this Winter Wonder paper paired with the Lawn Fawn die cut and accented with three clear jewels.  Sharing this with Jingle Belles: Text Me and the Try Stampin' On Tuesday sketch challenge with the optional metal theme.

Happy Birthday!!

I am so excited about my new-to-me Concord & 9th Party pop up die and stamp set.  So much fun!!

Love the gray and orange color combo, just wish it was a bit more visible on the inside.  Sharing with Shopping Our Stash Birthday challenge and with The Color Throwdown.

Winner winner!

I am so lucky!  I won the Season's Giving blog hop candy from Winnie & Walter!  It was a VERY generous prize that included stamp sets, dies, masks, and even some sequins!  THANK YOU!!!  I used sentiments from this really versatile set The Big, The Bold and Greetings:
I heat embossed the sentiment in clear, and used my son's old Crayola watercolors in pink and purple.  They didn't blend as well as I would have liked, so I added some oxide ink around the purple, and flicked some water to create the spotty look.  I added some clear sequins that were in my prize pack, and layered it on some matching purple card stock.  I will be using this set a lot!!!

Hello!!

I bought a Paint Chip paper pad, and it makes ombre so much easier!

Hugs & Kisses

Try Stampin' on Tuesdays challenge is Tic Tac Toe:
I chose diagonal, lower left to upper right, Lace, Heart, Pink:
My lace is a paper doily, but I think that counts, right?!?!  The hugs die is from Lawn Fawn, the (partial) sentiment is from Our Daily Bread.  The pink paper has a wonderful texture that doesn't show up in the photo.  I got a pop up light box for Christmas, but I am not convinced that it helps improve my photos...

Rawr Means I Love You in Dinosaur!

I am in love the Lawn Fawn mini sets.  With larger sets, I often like only one or two of the images.  The little sets are inexpensive and allow me to buy only the ones I want to use.
DCWV Kidosaurus papers, Fiskars texture plate crocodile embossing, Staz On Stone Grey ink.  I highlighted the little hearts with Glossy Accents.  Here's the inside:

Christmas in January?!?!

Yes!  I ran out of Christmas cards before I ran out of recipients, and I am trying to do better this year.  The Jingle Belles challenge this round is We Three Kings - create a cards using three elements.

Hero Arts Layering Tress, sentiment from Recollections heat embossed in white.  I flicked white pigment ink mixed with water for the "snow".  The snowbanks were cut from stitched dies.

Oxide Ink and Layering Stamps

I am in LOVE with my new Oxide Inks.  The colors are so rich, and cover beautifully.  I struggled with inking backgrounds, I always wound up with dauber marks or streaks.  Not with these!
Hero Arts Layering Octopus inked with Oxide Inks.  The darkest layer of the octopus was stamped in Wilted Violet and then heat embossed in dark purple.  Think this will be the perfect Valentine for my husband.  Sharing this with the Color Throwdown #475:

Twofer Challenge #1 - Feathers

There is a brand new blog - The Twofer Card Challenge by Darnell and friends.  The premise is to make two cards, for two different occasions, using the same stamps and/or dies.  Sounds like fun!
The mask was die cut with post it paper, and inked with my brand new Distress Oxides.  Spellbinders Birds on a Wire die cuts, the sentiments are from Unity.

W2CB #49: The Magic of Beginnings

Wow!  I knew I was busy over the holidays, but didn't realize I had neglected my crafting and blogging for a whole month!!  Glad the latest W2CB challenge is here to get me back in the groove!

Our W2CB inspiration for our January/February challenge come to us from Meister Eckhart.

And suddenly you know: It's time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings.

So many ways to interpret this one.  I made a wedding card for friends who are SCUBA divers, and used my brand NEW Hero Arts stamps and NEW oxide inks.
