OWH Sketch Challenge 206

This week's sketch over at OWH looks like this:

206

 Here is my first try:

I didn't love it.  Too much white space, even with the embossing.  So I tried again:

MUCH better!  American Crafts My Girl papers, TPC Studios sentiment, Spellbinders dies.

  1. Awesome cards-- I know you weren't in love with the white but I love it :)

  2. Bobbi, love the spring like colors. We need thoughts of spring around my neck of the woods lately. I just love sending Hello cards. It lets people know you are just sending a card just because you are thinking of them.

  3. Bobbi, Like the first card and LOVE the second one. Great palette with such fun spring colors.

  4. Fabulous cards! Love both of them, I like #2 the best, like you. I find that if my focal point papers are light valued, I need an darker background and vice versa. I bet if you tried darker papers with a white background you'd love it even more. At any rate, both are very special, a cool retro look! Thanks for playing

  5. I like them both, but for some reason the first one is my favorite of the two. Ask me tomorrow and it might be the second. LOL Thanks for sharing!

  7. I like both cards - I saw a chevron embossing folder in a store and now I wish I had one! Good job giving it a second try.

  8. They're both great cards, but I like your 2nd try too! That salmon color brought things to life! Well done on both!

  9. I love both cards Bobbi, and would hard pressed to pick a favorite. The white space of the first seem peaceful, while the peach/orange of the second is more vibrant. It's just great to see this splash of color and flowers of this dreary, freezing day. Thanks for playing!
