This week's OWH Throw Down is to create a card with a time theme. I REALLY struggled with this one. I threw away the first two attempts. This third one isn't great, but it is OK. I am just not follow the rules person!!!!!
OWH Sketch #9, Fiskars sentiment, Offray grosgrain ribbon, Spellbinders embossing folder, DCWV La Creme paper.
I like it! Simple but pretty.
ReplyDeletecute little card, I love the hour glass, so classic! TFS!
ReplyDeleteOh a new element on a card, an hour glass, a nice change from the clock faces! I think you did a great job with this card and I really like the sentiment too - don't know your efforts I think it's very nice!
ReplyDeleteI meant 'knock your efforts' autocorrect really does not know what I am saying it just thinks it does : )
DeleteLove the hour glass and the sentiment. Nicely done!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I love the hourglass. I think most of us only have the OWH clock stamp set. :) The embossing on the background really adds to the card. Great job!
ReplyDeleteI don't have an hourglass stamp in my collection, but it definitely depicts an element of time! Great take on the challenge with this card, and I really like that embossed background too!
ReplyDeleteThat hourglass reminds me of the one my mom made us use when we brushed our teeth lol! Great use of a time element and subtle texture on the ribbon.
ReplyDeleteBobbi,
ReplyDeleteI love this -- really, I do, You're not giving yourself nearly enough credit for this one. For starters, the palette is one of my favorites. The embossing and ribbon add such nice texture. The placement of the sentiment adds such a nice balance to the image. And, as for the card not being time related... Well, just ask Dorothy and her Oz friends about the meaning of the sands in an hour class. :)
Great card!
Such a classic card. I really like this one.
