I love entering the Twofer Card challenges. They really make me stretch my creative thinking. This round, I used the same stamp in very different ways.
First up, the image is heat embossed in white glitter on navy pearl and paired with an elegant Merry Christmas:
CAS, but still has enough depth and texture to keep things interesting.
This is my third attempt at a spotlight card:
I have needed WAY too many sympathy cards recently. Love how the lone tree in the center reflects how alone we feel in grief (no matter how many people are there to love and support), yet there are others nearby in love.

This Lovely as a Tree stamp is so versatile and your cards show that so well. The Christmas card is lovely and I love that spotlight card. I've never done one but yours is inspiring. Great job with it. Black and white are always beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI was just telling Marcia how this was my very first stamp and how much I love it, Bobbi. In all these years, I don't remember ever white heat-embossing over a dark background for a Christmas card! Thank you for the inspiration! It is such a magnificent image that way, especially when you use glitter e/p on a pearly navy!

This is a fun challenge and it does stretch out minds doesn't it?! I love what you have done with this tree stamp, both cards are amazing. I love the crisp CAS of your first card, so stunning. Your second card really does work well as a sympathy card, I love how you explained that lone tree in the center, so true! Well done in using this stamp in two totally different ways.
