W2CB #63 - Happiness

Hi, everyone! It's the second Wednesday of a new month.... which means it's time for a new Words 2 Craft By challenge.

In honor of the International Day of Happiness on March 20, this month's words come to us from John Harrigan.
Happiness held is the seed.
Happiness shared is the flower.
Dancing is a great way to show happiness!!

I used a Sizzix swing card die, and fussy cut the ladies.  How do you sow seeds of happiness?  Share with us at Words 2 Craft By through April 3!

Pinterest Inspired

The Paper Girl have a Pinterest inspired challenge:

Don't you love the geometric shapes and jewel tones?!?

Here is my first attempt:
Meh.  I liked the concept, but it seems that the background, but something was missing.  And I think that the dark grey base and layer didn't work quite right.  I tried again, and was much happier:
I trimmed the Spellbinder cover up die a little smaller, and layered it onto a navy card base.  I also layered the Sizzix round sentiment onto just navy.  I used DCWV adhesive paper for all of the colors to make adding the dots cleaner.

Hello My Friend...

The Paper Players have a Spring challenge:

The Color Throwdown's challenge looks like this:

My interpretation:

I masked the column with post it paper, stamped the Stephanie Barnard sentiment and Meadow image onto watercolor paper, and layered onto kraft.
Still a few days left to play along with us at Words 2 Craft By and our Kindness challenge!

Thinking of You

Loved the CAS sketch from Try Stampin' on Tuesday:

I used 2 different Sweet Sorbet papers cut to 4 x 5.25, then embossed with a crackle folder.  After embossing and cutting, I made 2 cards:

One I layered on a grey card base, the other I used a layer of Coastal Cabana.  I played around a bit with ribbon and strips to divide the 2 patterned papers, but liked them best without the element.  Thoughts?  There are still a few days left to join us at Words 2 Craft By for our Kindness challenge!!
