May Flowers

Just Us Girls has a Flowers challenge for their Word Week.

The image and sentiment are from SCT Delivered and were part of Crop & Create.  The "you" was dies cut 4x and stacked, the stamped images were heat embossed in black, and the flowers colored in Crayola watercolors.  I don't color or paint much, but I am quite happy with how this turned out.  Sharing this with:

Sketch Challenge

Make The Cards has a great sketch challenge to showcase pretty patterned paper:

The patterned paper (Echo Park) and sentiments (Gina K's Daffodil Delight) are from the Scrapbook & Cards Today April Sampler.  Solid paper and bling from my stash.  I will definitely be using this sketch again!

Today is the first Saturday of the month, and that means a new Send a Smile 4 Kids challenge!  Come join us!

May 2022: Dad/Special Guy Cards - Challenge #225

The May challenge at Send a Smile 4 Kids is to create a card for a child to give to a man such as their nurse, doctor, father, etc.

I pulled out some SU! Garage paper, and added a sentiment from Fancy Word Coordinates by Reverse Confetti.  Fun and easy card!!  Be sure to share your card for a special guy to the SAS 4 Kids challenge blog!

Shaker Card - Celebrate!

I am still having fun with all of the products I received in the kit for the March Crop and Create.

I used the Taylored Expressions Create in Quad stencil for the base with Mint Macaron, Pineapple Punch, Blueberry Bushel, and Rose Red inks.  The sentiment was cut with a Honey Bee die.  I cut the frame with my Waffle Flower dies, used a variety of jewels and sequins from my stash, and layered it all together with a piece of acetate.  I am sharing this with The Color Throwdown:

Flowers and Vellum

At the Crop and Create Delivered back in March, Libby Hickson taught a great class on fun fold cards.  I used her her vellum layout to create this:

I used Pinkfresh Simplest Gestures stamps, dies, and stencil to create the front floral spray.  I cut it twice, and glued the second on the back, putting the vellum in the middle of the "sandwich".  I stenciled the inside with the Hero Arts Square Flower stencil.  I also adhered a green panel behind the stenciled one, making another vellum "sandwich".  I'm sharing this with the Just Us Girls Fold challenge:

Crafty Hugs

I have WAAYYY too much NBUS (never before used stuff).  I keep all of the things I have purchased in a bin until I use it.  My bins have multiplied!

I inked a panel in rainbow colors, then used a Hero Arts background die.  I paired it with an Alte New sentiment.  I love this!!  I am sharing this with the Double Trouble Rainbow challenge, and the Colorful Options Rainbow or predominately pink.
