OWH Mid Week Throw Down - No Sentiment

This week's Mid Week Throw Down is to make a card with no sentiment.  WHAT?!?  I am not into coloring, so I rarely use images.  I really depend on designer paper cut in fun ways.  EEK!  What to do?  OK, deep breath.

I remembered that my sister in law gave me a beautiful sheet of K and Company butterfly and dragonfly stickers.  YES!!!

Random scraps of paper, silk moire ribbon, Cuttlebug embossing folder. I glued the body of the dragonfly to the card, and put small pop dots under both wings.  I may have to make a few more of these.

How about one that is a little more masculine?  Well, this one didn't turn out as nice as my first card.

Because of the mirror paper, I had to take the picture at a funny angle.  The card is OK, but not a favorite.  Maybe the silver piece is too high?  Wrenches the wrong color?  Maybe should have used black grommets?  All of the above?

  1. I love that dragonfly! You did great with both cards and the embossing gives them an extra special touch.

  2. Both are great cards and some guy will love this card, trust me. I think it is fine the way it is.

  3. That dragonfly is awesome and I love the second card - I think it's perfect - my son would totally want to get a card like this!

  4. Great cards Bobbi! I love the butterfly and then I saw the masculine card, wow nice!

Thanks for playing in our Operation Write Home Midweek Throwdown challenge!

  5. You did an amazing job with the butterfly card and I would not change a thing on your masculine card- I like the color of the tools- it contrasts nicely with the embossed silver.

  6. Hi Bobbi,

We coloring-challenged gals have to stick together. :)

Nice job on both cards. I especially love the dragonfly.

  7. I kinda love the masculine card you've created-- those wrenches are awesome! What are they from??

  8. Think positive girl! You did a great job on both of these, and I really like the masculine version! It's a way-cool card for a man!
