OWH Mid Week Throw Down - Tic Tac Toe

This Mid Week Throw Down is a little different.  We were to choose three elements to make our card.  I boxed the three I chose.

 Here is my card:

The rhinestones are really pearls, but I though they were close enough!  There are two smaller pearls in the scrolling on the image.  I started with clear crystals, but they were too flashy for the card. The background is an alligator skin pattern from a Fiskars texture plate, other papers from Amy Butler Lotus.  Border punch from American Crafts.  Stamp from Fiskars.  Spellbinder Oval Scallop dies. Sketch #26 from The Decontructed Sketch by Jen

This card is also for Shopping Our Stash Challenge 92 - use a neglected border punch.  Now I remember why I rarely use the border punches, I never get them lined up correctly!!!!

I have missed participating the the OWH challenges, but my time has been stretched very thin, between work, family, and traveling to help clear out my Mom's house, there just isn't much left!!  Today was a snow day for most schools in our area - play time!!

OWH VCMP - White or Cream Card

The Desert Rose Stamper's challenge is to make a card using only white or cream, with the exception of the sentiment, and 3 layers of something (card stock, ribbon, etc.).

Here is mine:

Even with good lighting, the picture does not do the card justice :(

My layers are:
  1. card base
  2. sentiment layer
  3. embossed layer
  4. lace trim
  5. satin ribbon
  6. pearls

Card stock is Coredinations Pearls, upper layer embossed with Sizzix folder, sentiment is from TPC Studios, scrap lace trim, satin ribbon, pearls from Design by Dawn.  Ink metallic Royal Silk by Color Box.

OWH VCMP - Things with Wheels

Linda over at Creepin' Along has challenged us ot make a card using something with wheels.

Here is mine:

Bazzil paper, SU Loads of Love stamps, brads for hubcaps.  Cuttlebug embossing folder for the road.  American Crafts Knock Outs border punch.  Wish I had used a different color for the border...

OWH VCMP - Caffeine

Jen at The Sparkle Within has challenged us to make a card with a caffeine theme.  I am Dr. Pepper in the morning fan, a bad habit I picked up when we lived in Texas.  Sadly, I do not have such a stamp, and had to make do with coffee or tea images.

Paper from SEI Windsor, stamp Fiskars Perfect Blend.
