Labor Day Challenge from The Paper Girls

The Paper Girls Challenge is to create a project about working or an occupation. I work in training for a company that makes jet engine parts. 

Photography is so interesting. To the naked eye, the card is made up of variations on the same tone. It sure doesn't look like it in the picture!

I used Versamark ink and a stamp from the Lovely Notes box from Catherine Pooler and to add some interest to the rounded squares.  The sentiment is from Fiskars. I am also sharing this with the Creative with Stamps Geometric challenge.  The next Words 2 Craft By challenge starts August 10!!

Red Chevrons

Instead of Valentines, I prefer to send general love or thinking of you cards instead. 

Addicted to Clean and Simple's challenge is Code Word Red.  Bazzill Basics chevron paper, red grosgrain ribbon tied with a pearl brad.  I love all of the white space, and the tiny layers add a little interest.  I have resisted buying the Perfect Payers rulers, thinking that they were unnecessary.  Wrong!!  The 1/16 edge made these tiny layers a breeze!  There are a few more days to join us in our New Beginning at Words 2 Craft By!!
