Plaid for Christmas

The Paper Players have a plaid challenge going on:

I embossed Dasher in black, and layered him on gold and black.  The yummy plaid is from the MME "Yes, Please" paper pad.  Be sure to check out the Words 2 Craft By Heroes challenge!!

Playing Around...

Lately, I have seen a few cards using the Spirelli (sp?) technique.  Freshly Made Sketches provided the perfect challenge to try it out!!

 My version:

My Mind's Eye Now and Then patterned paper, very old SU! sentiment.  Spellbinder's scalloped die cut with Coats and Clark Lemon Twist embroidery thread.

Here is this week's sketch and my interpretation:

My Mind's Eye Lush flocked paper, Fiskars sentiment, Sizzix embossing folder, Co-ordinations solid paper.

I cut up my favorite piece of paper!

I know we all have some.  Paper that we love. We look at it, admire it, consider the possibilities.  In my case, I pet it (it is flocked - I am not THAT strange!).  I thought about using it, but I just couldn't.

Well, Nancy from Stamp Tramps challenged me to put on my big girl panties and stop hoarding that beautiful paper.  Deep breath.

I adapted Seongsook Duncan's 12 x 12 One Sheet Wonder template and cut it into pieces.  I mean, how could I possibly waste any of that beautiful paper?!?
