The Male Room Challenge this time around is Father's Day.
McGill tag punch, older SU! alphabet, DCWV paper embossed with Sizzix Diamonds texture plate, the "Day" is a Sweet Stamps partial sentiment. The grey suede strip was too thick for mailing, so I ran it through my Big Shot - problem solved!

Rainbow Die Cutting
I am playing along with the Rainbow Challenge via my Words 2 Craft By compatriot Sybrina. I love the dies to cut rainbows, but one just isn't in the budget right now. I started wondering, could I get the same effect with my circle dies? It took a bit of trial and error, but I am happy with the results. And the price was right!!!
My Spellbinder dies weren't quite large enough, so I used my slightly larger Sizzix set, and taped the circles together to cut the arches. The rainbow isn't stitched, but I am happy with the result. The clouds were cut on my KNK, and the clouds on the background were embossed with a Darice folder.

Words 2 Craft By June Challenge!!!!
This month at Words 2 Craft By, our inspiration phrase is:
Quite appropriate for my family, as we have FOUR (yes, 4!) graduations this spring! Two nieces from Ohio State, our nephew from the University of Kentucky, and our son from high school.
I have been quite absent from card making and blogging, preparing for and celebrating all of these new beginnings. But I have still been crafting - scrapping memories for our son.
I made an 8 x 8 album with just his first day of school and his school pictures. This simple page is my favorite. Wow. I think I blinked. My little boy is now a man!!
So what beginnings are you celebrating? Share them with us at Words 2 Craft By through July 6!

Chocolate, Coffee, and Cards
Chocolate, Coffee, and Cards is a new-to-me challenge blog, and their newest challenge spoke to me.
Here is my CAS response:
Embossing, die cut (negative space in the middle), and ribbon. Add a button in for good measure!!!
The embossed layer is thanks to Diana for being such a good shop by phone friend. A whole package of these in different colors for 50 cents!!!! Way to shop!! I am slowly getting back into cardmaking after track season and graduation. Just a few more track meets this season (Ohio state meet Saturday 6/4). Bittersweet, I love those kids and will miss these times. No one tells you when your children graduate, you lose that connection to their teammates and their families. :(

Baby You're a Firework!
The Shopping Our Stash challenge this week is to use one of the four elements - earth, wind, fire, air.
I had this old scrap of DCWV paper, and wanted to play with some different embossing powders. I used a Ranger embossing pen and embossed clear on the blue bursts, red on the red bursts, and silver on the white bursts. I took the picture with a flash, so the shine would show.
This Wednesday starts the new Words 2 Craft By challenge - be sure to play along with us!!
