This month's challenge over at Words2ScrapBy.blogspot.com is based on one of my favorite books - Oh, the Places You'll Go. This Dr. Seuss book is all about the adventures life brings us, graduations, weddings, new homes, new jobs...
Here is my offering:
I got a new cutter for Mother's Day, and made a shaped card. I burred out the school name and year (safety first!!). I added a small brad to the middle of the mortarboard. Not bad for my first try in Make the Cut!!!

OWH Memorial Day Blog Hop!!!!! Plus CANDY!!!!
I love that OWH provides a way for me to give back on a very personal level. I receive so much more than I can ever give to our Heroes and OWH.
I chose sketch #12 for my card, one of my favorites. I use this sketch a lot!!!
Bo Bunny Liberty Paper dry embossed with Cuttlebug foldler, Cuttlebug sentiment die with DCWV Adhesive Paper, navy blue Ofray satin ribbon.
Two chances to win blog candy. One, comment here for a chance to win a stamp set!
Thank a Veteran EVERY day for the freedoms that we enjoy, but are NOT free. They paid in love and blood...

OWH Sunday Sketch Challenge #224
Sigh. This was the third, and "least bad" of my attempts. It's going to join its friends in the trash. Thought I would share that everyone makes junk sometimes. Better luck next week...

ODBD May Challenge - Embossing
I LOVE dry embossing, and try to incorporate the technique into every card I make. I don't always succeed, but I do make an attempt. Texture is a wonderful addition to most cards, and adds that "something special".
Here is my response to the Our Daily Bread Designs May Challenge to use embossing on a card:
My Favorite Things image and sentiment, Jelly Roll on her heart, I "think" all of the embossing folders are Cuttlebug.

OWH Sunday Sketch Challenge #223
This week's challenge and my response:
Stamper's Best image, Safari patterned paper, TPC Studios sentiment, Offray ribbon. A bit more subtle that I had intended, but I like it!!

National Scrapbooking Day REBEL!!!!
Yep. I am a rebel. Instead of scrapbooking, I made cards!! I hit up a sale this morning, and bought a bunch of 6x6 paper pads from between $1.35 and $2.69 each!!! Carta Bella, Echo Park, Paper Studio, all really good stuff.
So I went back to Katherine's 6x6 cutting formula to make some missing you cards.
Here are a few:
Cuttlebug die cut using DCWV adhesive paper, Carts Bella Giddy Up patterned paper, Fiskars Crocodile texture plate.

Words2ScrapBy May Challenge - Bloom When You Are Planted
Sybrina has come up with a great challenge for us this month - Bloom where you are planted. I interpreted this as we should do our best to be happy no matter what our circumstance.
I love these tiny Close To My Heart Woodland Sentiments, but they are so hard to photograph! It reads - "The happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery when on a detour." Operation Write Home Sketch #171. Flocked paper DCWV La Creme.
