W2CB #67: The Men on the Moon

Hi, everyone! It's the second Wednesday of a new month.... which means it's time for a new Words 2 Craft By Challenge.

July 20th will mark the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. In honor of Neil Armstrong, Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin, Michael Collins, and the men and women of NASA, we remember the mission's lunar plaque inscription.

We came in peace for all mankind.

Christmas in July

Christmas Crafts All Year Round has a challenge to make something OTHER than a card.  I like to give a something to work friends that won't break the bank.  Since I work in an area without running water, we use a lot of hand sanitizer.

I started with a tutorial from Stampin' Scraper, and adjusted it to suit my Bath & Body Works bottle.

I cut a strip of paper 2" x 10.5", then scored at .5", 1.5", 3.75", 4.75", 7.5", and 8.5".  I cut a 1" x 1.25" oval between the .5" and the 1.5" score lines.  Since I used my trusty Score Pal, I am also entering this in their more than one score challenge.  The snowman is cut from Tim Holtz dies.  I think I found my work Christmas gifts for this year!!

Army Men

The Paper Girls have a "Toys" challenge.  My son always loved playing with his Army Men:

Paper House paper accented with Old Olive and Mossy Meadow.  Hero Arts sentiment.  Pretty simple card, but will be perfect to send to a deployed soldier!

Let's Be Mermaids!

In honor of the Coney Island Mermaid Parade (yes it is a thing!), I bring you:

I embossed the fabulous background paper with a Spots and Dots folder, and topped it with the die cut and sentiment.  The papers were so strong, I thought simple was better.  Sharing with The Color Throwdown:

Just Keep Swimming!

My poor blog has been neglected lately.  I have been creating, just not entering challenges.  Life is crazy fun, and even when it's not, I try to just keep swimming!!
