Colorful CAS Fall Card

I inked up a piece of cream cardstock with various Distress Inks:

I punched out leaves with old Marvy punches, scored veins into them with a dental tool, and lightly mounted them onto kraft and off white card bases:

I'm not much of a Halloween person.  My colors aren't exact, but I believe I addressed some of the colors and the CAS challenge from House of Cards:

Since I have never used the secondhand punches, I think this also qualifies for Darnell's NBUS challenge!!

Never Before Used Schtuff Challenge!!

I don't know about you, but collecting craft supplies is as much fun for me as making things with those supplies!!  Thankfully Darnell has her NBUS challenges to prompt me to use some new things. 

Julie Nutting Holiday Bliss doll fussy cut, I heat embossed the shoes, and trimmed the dress in fuzzy trim.  The striped paper, stamps, embossing powder, and trim are all NBUS.  Still plenty of time to play along with us at Words 2 Craft By for our Logic vs. Imagination challenge!

NBUS #9 - Colorburst Hello

I have a fabulous basket of new goodies, but find myself going back to my favorites.  That's why I love Darnell's NBUS challenges, which ask us to focus on using our "Never Before Used Schtuff".

New schtuff - A1 card and envelope, Lawn Fawn hello die, and rarely used Color Burst powders.  I wasn't sure I would like the card size, but I really like the smaller "canvas"!!

NBUS #6

I love Darnell's NBUS (Never-Before-Used Schtuff) challenges.  I keep all of my new items in a basket until I use it.  Only then can I put it away.  My basket is overflowing (hanging my head in shame).  What is it about craft supplies that makes me keep buying, when I couldn't use everything in my hoard in two lifetimes?!?!?!  Sigh.  At least this card has a few NBUS. 

I have only used a few letters from the My Favorite Things die set.  Never before used Darice Rulers embossing folder, inked with a new Distress Black Soot ink.  I think I will make a few more of these for my son to send to his teachers to say thank you. 

NBUS Challenge #3 - Anything Goes!!

Darnell runs great challenge - Never Before Used Schtuff.  I know I could probably play this one forever...

 Here is mine, using a new Unity stamp I bought myself for Christmas:

I think these will be great for Operation Write home!!!  I used die cut hearts on the left card, and colored the hearts on the right.
