OWH Sunday Sketch Challenge #176

This week's sketch challenge over at Operation Write Home looks like this:

176

My versions look like this:

DCWV Safari papers, Sizzix crocodile texture plate, Cuttlebug chevron embossing folder, K&Co Beyond Sentiments vellum stickers, scrap ribbons.  The dark layer on the right hand card is a glitter paper, but it is OWH friendly - I promise!!!

I tried a few different embellishments in the lower left corners.  Multiple textures with the different embossing and ribbon made the cards a little busier than I like.

Did you win my Memorial Day blog candy?  Please check the previous post!

  1. I like your 'Here's to You' variation with the sentiment moved down a bit. I just picked up this stack in a 4x6 and it looks like it will be perfect for some masculine cards. Nice job with the sketch challenge Bobbi!

  3. I love the colors you used on your cards! The embossing folder adds a great interesting touch. I'm glad you took a picture of your OWH goody box because I was curious to know what was inside. Glad you won.....you'll put it all to good use.

  4. These both turned out great and I love those earth-tone papers! I agree, adding embellies at the bottom would have taken away from the classic look! Congrats on your Memorial Day win from OWH too! What a fabulous stash of stamping goodies :)

  7. Fabulous cards---love the papers and how you used them and the embossing is wonderful! I agree- you do not need the 3 embellshments- the papers are interesting and pretty! Love both of your sentiments!
