These die cuts have been sitting in my basket of new goodies for quite a while, waiting for the perfect way to use them. I think this qualifies!!
Very simple layout for this sympathy card I will send to a friend who recently lost her kitty. I am sharing this with the Mod Squad Animal Fun challenge.

Watercolors
At the Simon Says Create event last fall, one of the projects used watercolors and masking. I don't have any artist watercolors, but I do have an old Crayola Watercolor set from my son's grade school days, lol!! They are not as intense as real watercolors, but they were fun to play with. The Can You Cast It challenge #109 is a color challenge:
Here is my card:
I used a Molotow masking liquid masking marker to mask the sentiment, and brushed yellows, greens, and blues.
Still a few days left to join us at Words 2 Craft By Heart's Devotion challenge ending March 1!!

Hanging in there...
A dear friend gifted me with the cutest wire coat hangers, and I was so happy to see the challenge from Less is More to use wire on a project.
La Creme background, dress cut on my KNK from shiny paper, Maya Road wire hanger. I didn't have a large brad, so I heat embossed a bright brass brad in black. Love how the simple dress contrasts to the stitched look of the background. The Mommy Dearest line keeps going through my head - no more wire hangers! Uh oh, I think I just showed my age....

Ohio Star
I love the look of paper piecing, especially when the embossing looks like quilting! I like this one even more with one of my favorite color combinations - orange and green and pink!!
I "quilted" the blocks with a swirled embossing folder. The sentiments are rub ons. Just a few more days to play along with us at Words 2 Craft By with our Hearts Devotion challenge!!

Mojo Monday
I always have good intentions about joining in the Mojo Monday challenges, but rarely follow through. THIS week is different!
Their sketch and my version:
I interpreted the sketch pretty literally. I had doggies on the brain today. Last night, one of my labs had three grand mal and one petit mal seizures in less than 10 hours. Pretty scary for everyone. I stayed home from work take him to the vet and monitor him. He is now on a different epilepsy drug that we are hoping works for my "Best Bud"! Die cuts from Elizabeth Crafts, sentiment is a rub on. I am thinking that I need to put some "food" in the bowl - it isn't obvious what that red "thing" is!
Red, Grey, and White
This week's challenge looks like this:
Being a Michigan fun, this is NOT my favorite color combo!!! Here is my card:
Bazzill Love Story papers, Fiskars Texture Plate for the top layer. Just a few more days to join us in the Words 2 Craft By's Heart's Desire challenge!

CYCI # 108 - Sketch
The challenge this week at Can You CASE It is a sketch:
Lots of unknown goodness here. The sentiment is a rub on, the flowerpot a 3D sticker. The background paper (K & Co?) is embossed using an ancient Fiskars texture plate. The purple base layer is a linen-textured (Recollections?). I made a lot of pretty trash this weekend. So happy to have finally made something worth keeping! Just a few more days to join us at Words to Craft By for our Heart's Devotion challenge!!
