Send a Smile 4 Kids has a new challenge starting July 2, join us!Try Stampin on Tuesday and Double Trouble have a joint challenge this week, follow the sketch and make a masculine card.
I cut apart an old Stampabilities stamp so I could create the background and strip with randomly stamped eyeglasses, then added the Unity sentiment.
Try Stampin on Tuesday has a fun sketch challenge with pattern mixing as an optional theme.
The patterns I mixed are embossed with an old Sizzix texture plate and a Provo Craft folder. I bought the stacked heart die cuts second hand, not sure of the maker? The pearl accents are Paper Studio. Here is the TSOT sketch:Hello!
I use some fun goodies from the Hey Honey stamps and dies by Pink & Main. I don't do a lot of coloring (not my jam), so the simple bees are right up my alley! I based the colors and layout on a sketch from Try Stampin' On Tuesday:Try Stampin' On Tuesday has a Something Punny challenge this week.
There will never be another from my craft room. Ever. 😀
I wanted to make a shaker type card for the Try Stampin On Tuesday challenge, but all of the fun sprinkles I had were too large and thick to resemble rain. So I (foolishly) decided to use glitter. I despise glitter. I don't know why I even have any. And this project reminded me why!
I used a woodgrain paper for the base, and made a sandwich of transparency sheets with silver and white glitter. That went everywhere. I mean everywhere. I added the black frame, and then the rain boots and flowers. After it was all assembled, the glitter looked more like sand than rain. I'm posting this because not every project comes out the way you planned. I get tired perfect projects, it can be discouraging!Try Stampin' On Tuesday is having a sketch challenge, with an option for a masculine project. Since most of my cards go to deployed military, masculine cards are always needed.
The sentiment and die cut are from Reverse Confetti, and the background paper is from DCWV Far East. I added some narrow ribbon for the vertical elements to finish it off. Here is their sketch:I'm trying to get back to entering challenges. I have been creating, just not playing along with the great inspiration that challenges provide. Today, I am playing along with Try Stamping on Tuesday's sketch challenge, with the optional theme rainbows. Perfect for using my new to me Reverse Confetti Love & Ice Cream stamp and die set.
I don't have a rainbow die, so I nested some circle dies, and trimmed accordingly. Love this!!!My husband is out of town, so I get to play ALL day!!! I'm starting out with a sketch challenge:
Unity image, DCWV papers used for a Try Stampin' On Tuesday sketch. So much fun!
I love using a lot of texture on my cards, but don't like to add a lot of bulk for mailing purposes. Love this layout from Try Stampin' on Tuesday for adding a LOT of texture. This version is a bit of an upgrade from my original posted here.
Sharing with the Color Throwdown:
I love sketches. If they don't include measurements, I try to come up with my own, like for this one from Try Stampin' On Tuesday:
I used a variety of embossing folders to create a different texture for each color. The sentiment is an older TPC Studios.
