Thank You

Carta Bella Ahoy There anchor paper, old Just Rite stamps, layered on paper embossed with waves from an even older Fiskars texture plate.
Attitude of gratitude - I have a roof over my head, food on my table, and a job to keep going.

CYCI # 108 - Sketch

The challenge this week at Can You CASE It is a sketch:
CYCI#108
I love this clean and simple sketch!  Here's my version:

Lots of unknown goodness here.  The sentiment is a rub on, the flowerpot a 3D sticker.  The background paper (K & Co?) is embossed using an ancient Fiskars texture plate.  The purple base layer is a linen-textured (Recollections?).  I made a lot of pretty trash this weekend.  So happy to have finally made something worth keeping!  Just a few more days to join us at Words to Craft By for our Heart's Devotion challenge!!

Paper Girls Challenge - Large Letters

The Paper Girls Challenge #85 is to use large letters on a project.  This challenge is perfect for me to catch up on my Christmas gift making.

BasicGrey LilyKate letters, the brown paper is embossed with an old Fiskars texture plate.  The J is highlighted with orange and pink crystals.  The white pearl paper is embossed with Cuttlebug Divine Swirls.  I sprayed the A with Glitter Dust.  Come play along with us at Words 2 Scrap By, our August challenge is for Book Lovers!

National Scrapbooking Day REBEL!!!!

Yep.  I am a rebel.  Instead of scrapbooking, I made cards!!  I hit up a sale this morning, and bought a bunch of 6x6 paper pads from between $1.35 and $2.69 each!!!  Carta Bella, Echo Park, Paper Studio, all really good stuff.

So I went back to Katherine's 6x6 cutting formula to make some missing you cards.

Here are a few:

Cuttlebug die cut using DCWV adhesive paper, Carts Bella Giddy Up patterned paper, Fiskars Crocodile texture plate.

OWH MWTD - Mother's Day Cards

I usually love the OWH Mid Week Throw Down challenges.  They direct us to make cards that are needed most, or nudge us to make cards for holidays coming up.  I really struggled with this week's challenge - Mother's Day cards.  I lost my own Mom a little over a year ago.  I just couldn't make those cards last year.  This year, it still hurts, but I can deal.  Here is this week's card:

As usual, much better in person than in the photo.  DCWV All Dressed Up stack, silk ribbon, My Favorite Things sentiment, Spellbinder dies, Ranger Ink, Glossy Accents in the center of each flower, Fiskars swirls texture plate.

OWH Sketch Challenge #27

OK, so this one is REALLY old, but I am going through them, trying to challenge myself to try new designs and layouts.

Here is OWH Sketch #27:

Here is my take:

Paper from Basic Grey What's Up, sticker, K and Company Beyond Postmarks, Imagininisce heat set metals.  I used a Fiskars texture plate (crocodile) for the background.
