Tiny envelopes, cut from scraps, holding tiny brown bunnies.  So much fun!  Link up your your creation over at the SAS 4 Kids blog.

Spring & Easter Cards 4 Kids

SAS4Kids always works a month or two ahead, so while many people are making Valentine cards, we have moved on the Spring and Easter cards!  Be sure to link up your creation at the SAS4Kids challenge blog.

I don't often stamp on patterned paper (this one from DoodleBug), but I thought this cute image from Kat Scrappiness would be cute with the ears and feet fussy cut and colored.  Yes!!!

Little Lambs

Lambs to me mean babies and Easter, so the Twofer Spring Animals challenge is perfect to break out my Gina Marie Easter Lamb die.

Our niece's baby shower was today (no judgement for attending, please), and I needed a baby girl card.  She loved it!  I am thinking, though, that maybe they needed a bow around their necks?!?  Floral background is from Echo Park Easter Wishes.  Chevrons from a really old American Crafts My Baby paper pad.  Probably one of my earlier purchases on my crafting journey.

Alleluia!!

The Male Room has a Spring challenge this time around.
I inked the background 3 different times, trying to get the color separation between the ground and the sky.  I wanted it to be blurry, but still have a bit of definition.  Not perfect, but I am happy with it.  Darice die cut, Oxide inks.  Old, unknown sentiment.  Be sure to check back on April 10 for the next Words 2 Craft By challenge!

Love me, love my pet...

I'm sad today.  One of my favorite challenge blogs has posted its next to last challenge.  Thank you to the many members of the design team over the years.  As a design team member of Words 2 craft By, I can assure you that it isn't easy, and it takes a lot of time.  Please show your love to the designers of the blogs you follow.  I assure you, they will appreciate the feedback.

The CIE challenge is Love Me or Love My Pet Card Challenge.
I didn't have a pet bunny, though my siblings did growing up!

A Different Easter Card

I made a few of these using the Swirly Bird Thinlets.
Wile it isn't a traditional Easter card, the shape reminds me of the flames on Pentecost.  Sharing this with CAS-ual Fridays Rainbows challenge.

A Different Easter Card

Most Easter cards are pastel and feminine.  I wanted a masculine card for my brother:

Graphic 12 Easter Sweet Sentiments stamps on Momenta paper.  I'm sharing this with Creative with Stamps Easter challenge.

Sisterhood of the Snarky Stampers - E is for Easter

I REALLY struggled with this one from the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.  I am not big into Easter, so I didn't have a lot of appropriate supplies.  I found a super-cute Stampendous House Mouse stamp in my Marti stash, and colored it with my Derwent watercolor pencils.  I needed a background for him, so I embossed white paper with a wood grain embossing folder, cut strips, and wove them together to look like a basket.
I added some twill tape, and love the finished card!!!

Spring Forward

As harsh as this winter has been in southwest Ohio, it is hard to believe that the spring time change is only a week away!!!!  The Mod Squad Challenge Blog theme of Spring Forward is just what I need to look forward to warmer weather.

I rarely make cards sizes other than A2.  Guess I have been trained by Operation Write Home for that size.  I have some beautiful #10 size envelopes, and wanted to try a different size.  This card is 4" x 8.5".  Jolee's embellishment, Offray grosgrain ribbon, Above Rubies Studio sentiment.  The kraft paper has a beautiful sheen and texture.  Hmm...  Think this might make a great Easter card if I switched out the kraft for a royal purple. I know what I am doing in the morning!!!!  I love the purple one!!!

My version:

Sizzix basket weave texture plate, All Night Media sentiment, stash tag.  This is my fourth version of this card, and I am still not happy, I just decided to move on...
