The Words 2 Craft By prompt this month is:
Listen!
The wind is rising, and the air is wild with leaves,
We have had our summer evenings,
now for October eves.  Humbert Wolfe

I inked up an old dictionary page, and punched out the leaves.  I added a plaid stamp in off white ink and done!!  Show off your October Eves by November 7 by linking up HERE.

Shopping Our Stash #176 - Leaf Me Alone!

This week's title is Leaf Me Alone! (alternate name: Un-Be-LEAF-able!) to use leaves on a project.

Here is mine:

Falling Leaves embossing folder, swirls embossing plate.  Sizzix and Spellbinder dies.  Leaf heat embossed.  I used Inka Gold metal gloss paint in copper, gold, and bronze.  It is a very thick paste, applied with the marshmallow style sponges.  It's pretty amazing stuff!!

Our November Words 2 Scrap By challenge is open through November 21. If you have a chance, we'd love for you to play along!!
November Challenge:
Nov. 1 - Nov. 21

Words 2 Scrap By September Challenge - To Every Thing There is a Season

This month, Sybrina's To Every Thing There is a Season challenge is as follows:

So, what do these words mean to you? Maybe your thoughts turn to autumn leaves... or football Saturdays... or homework and school activities... or the they're-going-to-be-here-before-you-know-it upcoming holiday season. Or, perhaps milestone events come to mind -- events like starting a new job, celebrating the birth of a baby, or moving to a new house.

I took the challenge literally.  I love the colors of nature in every season, but the autumn leave are especially beautiful to me.

Here is my interpretation of her challenge:

Remember my benefactor, Marti?  Well, this is another card in homage to her. (thanks, Marti!!)  Other than the sentiment, all supplies are from her.  I used 4 different colors of embossing powder for my leaves and sentiment.  Wish that a camera could show the beautiful metallic colors of the leaves.

OWH VCMP Colored Background Challenge

Beth over at Bunny Scrap had a great challenge - colored background.  I love this challenge - I don't make full use of the wide variety of resources I have.  Here is a couple of cards with alcohol ink on the backgrounds, and heat embossing with gold and bronze powders for the images.  LOVE!!!!  I do think that I will take the one that I used as a full front, and mat it.  I think it will add a lot of interest.
