The Male Room Challenge 5

The Male Room has a sketch challenge for us this week.

I don't make usually square cards, as most of my efforts are donated to Operation Write Home.  I adapted the sketch and made an A2 card.  I think this would make a little boy happy!
Recollections paw print paper embossed with Darice paw prints folder.  Images from a newly purchased Inkadinkadoo set (Diana, you are an enabler!).  Wasn't sure I loved the double matting, so I tried again:
I think I like the wider red border on all three squares, and the double matting on the center image.  Which do you like better?

Animals!!!

I made a card for the Our Daily Bread Designs February challenge - Animals.  Recollections paw print paper, Cuttlebug Paw Prints embossing folder, red satin ribbon, Derwent watercolor pencil for the red heart.
OK, not great.  So I tried again:
Better.  I added another red layer to the focal point and a few red crystals.  MUCH better!  Now if I could just take better pictures...

My name is Bobbi, and I am a paper hoarder....

I wasn't going to post this, but my dear friend Diana insisted.  I am a paper hoarder.  OK, I said it.  Out loud.  I love paper, and tend to wait until the perfect storm of paper, concept, and execution converge until I actually cut into that perfect piece of paper.  These cards are an example.

I started with this piece of paper from a VERY old Ki Playful Pets pad:

Too cute to waste on just any card.

Then I added this one from the same pad:

Last, I bought some ribbon at a show that I just HAD to have.

And this is the result:

I couldn't bear to waste any of this fab paper, so I added some bones and paw prints to the inside of the card.

Darice Paw Prints embossing folder, stash ribbon, Spellbinders and Sizzix dies, heat embossed sentiment.
