Linda has challenged us to make a card using piecing. Well, I am not very good with stamping and fussy cutting pieces, but I do like doing patchwork piecing! Not too kid related, but I tried!!!!
Layered red and blue ribbon, Cuttlebug embossing folder, Spellbinder die.

OWH VCMP - Home Sweet Home
Kathryn is the tenth and last hostess for the Operation Write Home's Virtual Card Making Party. Her challenge is to make a card that represents my home state.
Playing with paper is a current interest, but not my only creative outlet! I also love fabric and quilting. For this challenge, I put the two together!
I am living in Ohio, and there is a quilt pattern called the Ohio Star. Here it is in paper:
The paper is from Deja Views, embossed with a swirl design to mimic meandering quilting. In person, the ink matches the green in the "quilt" much better than it looks in the photo. In quilting, the triangles at the bottom are called prairie points.
I have learned SO much from this card making party! Thanks, Operation Write Home and all of the hostesses!!!
